I/We have made two important decisions this weekend.
1. I am going to attempt to prepare and photograph ALL 150 recipes in the French Laundry Cookbook by the end of the year. I'm documenting my new insanity project on LJ because it's just easier. If you want to point and laugh follow along, I'm thinking about doing a companion blog over here because of how easy it is to upload photos. Hmmm, now I'm conflicted about whether to just do one over here.
2. We're retiring in Costa Rica. Probably. :) More on that later.
I hate starting the holiday season out like scrooge, but seriously, folks, could it get any worse than having to stand in a 50 yard checkout line with only two cashiers and then being forced to listen to Christian hymns while you're doing it?
I think not.
I say I'm never going back to HL every time I go there, but then a year or so goes by and I'm all, hey $1.99 yarn, let's go see! And I"m reminded all over again WHY I HATE THAT STORE.
Ahem.
On a more positive note, two things make me happy today. I bought tickets to the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls derby Saturday night (and that should rock!) and I've discovered lighted knitting needles which makes my gadget-girl heart go pitter patter.
Have I shared my favorite Ceili's Muse song with you guys yet? Here, allow me...
